Virgin Media is to offer its television service without the need for a Virgin Media telephone line.

Until now, the two products have been bundled together as the TV service cost the same regardless of whether the telephone line was taken. Now, the cable company has reduced prices for those who just have the television product - the top tier XL package being just over £5 per month cheaper if no telephone line is taken and the lowest teir TV package now costs £11.50 per month.
