Virign Media has said that some of its packages will increase in price on 1 April.

The biggest increase will be for top tier TV customers. The L package will increase by £1 per month with XL rising by £1.50 per month, an increase of 5%.

Other increases will be a 99p/month rise for basic tier telephone customers with metered calls will also increase, by 1p/minute. Also, calls to other mobile networks will rise by 1p/minute. There will be an increase of 50p/month for additional set-top boxes and a 50p/month price rise for the basic broadband package.

Vireign Media also annoucned that calls from Virgin Media landlines to Virgin Mobile would also be included in the packages eg with basic package customers getting free calls only at the weekend.
