CBS has announced its the names and launchdate of its first three UK channels.

The channels will launch on 16 November with four of the Zone-named channels changing to CBS-branded stations.

A reality channel will remain as Zone Reality will become CBS Reality. CBS Reality will also have a +1 service. Zone Romantica will become CBS Drama with Zone Thriller morphing into CBS Action. Zone Horror and its timeshift will continue broadcasting for now.

Content for these channels will come from 70,000 hours of CBS material and in addition Chellomedia plans to supplement this with further third-party content.

The launch of the CBS channels has been made possible due to an agreement with Chellomedia, which owns the Zone network of six channels which broadcast on Sky and Freesat. Chellozone has two slots - broadcasting Zone Reality and Zone Horror - on Virgin Media. It is not clear which two CBS channels will appear on Virgin Media as first indications suggest that Chello will not, at least initially, get any new slots on the cable platform.
