ESPN to launch European version of SportsCenter PDF Print E-mail

ESPN is to launch a European version of its flagship sports news programme SportsCenter.

The 30 minute programme will be broadcast in ESPN America, which broadcasts to Europe and the Middle East. The first show will be broadcast on 1 March and will air at 7am with an updated version being shown at 10.30pm/

The launch of a European/Middle East version of SportsCenter will be the thirteenth version of the show, which has been broadcast throughout ESPN's 30 year history.

ESPN EMEA vice president of channels Jeroen Oerlemans added: "Almost a year to the day that the channel was rebranded to ESPN America, the introduction of a new unique SportsCenter further demonstrates our commitment to growing North American sport around the world and the company's dedication to fans of US sport in Europe and the Middle East. This is a great addition to the ESPN America schedule and one we have no doubt our viewers will love."
