Desmond Lynam is to host a sports version of Mastermind.
Ten half-hour shows will be recorded for broadcast on BBC2 during Euro 2008, Wimbledon and the Beijing Olympics.

This will be Des's first work for BBC TV since he publically defected to ITV in 1999, partly due to his frustration over the BBC loosing key football and sporting rights to other broadcaster at that time.
