A one-off 90 minute Only Fools and Horses programme has been written which will follow Del Boy as a teenager.

The show has been written by Only Fools creator John Sullivan and will feature Del Boy, Boycie, Trigger and Denzil in their teenage incarnations. Del Boy's mum and dad will also be depicted. Rodney has yet to be born and the family is not, as yet, living in Nelson Madenna Towers although The Nags Head is going strong.

Casting has yet to be revealed but rumours suggest that Nicholas Lyndhurst could appear. Filming starts next month and the programme will be shown next year.

John Sullivan said: "Sex, Drugs & Rock 'n' Chips [the title] will be set in the real 60s, before The Beatles and Mary Quant made London the coolest place on the planet. The drama will feature south London at its least glamorous, where money was scarce, the staple diet was rock salmon and chips, and the flicks offer the only hint of glamour. And it will give us a bit of an insight into why Del and Rodney turned out they way they did."
