TalkSPORT has obtained the rights to two Premier League commentary packages.

The national speech station will broadcast the Saturday teatime, Sunday early afternoon and Wednesday night matches.

Therefore, the number of BBC Premier League matches which it will have commentary rights to will fall from 192 per season to 128 games, following Absolute Radio picking up the rights to the second pick of the Saturday 3pm matches. This represents a loss of 64 games per season for the Corporation.

The new arrangements, will start in August 2010, running for three seasons, are:

Package 1 (Saturday 3pm matches first pick) - BBC
Package 2 (Saturday 3pm matches second pick) - Absolute Radio
Package 3 (principally Sunday 4pm matches) - BBC
Package 4 (Saturday lunchtime matches prior to 3pm) - BBC
Package 5 (principally Sunday matches before 3pm) - Talksport
Package 6 (Saturday matches at 5.30pm and Wednesday evenings) - Talksport
Package 7 (principally Mondays 8pm and Tuesday evenings) - BBC
