South Wales station Nation Radio has launched on DAB.

The station has also expanded its reach into west England by getting a berth on the Severn Esturary multiplex. This means that Nation Radio will be able to be picked up on DAB in the Bristol area. Nation Radio replaces The Arrow on that multiplex.

Station programmer Ben Evans said; “Digital radio coverage extends the opportunity for our existing loyal listeners to hear us - and being available in other parts of Wales and the West means even more people can make the switch away from their current bland music station."

This DAB launch comes shortly after two other FM stations recently became available for the first time on DAB. The two stations were Radio Plymouth on the Plymouth and Cornwall multiplex and Fire 107.6 in the Bournemouth and South Hampshire multiplex.
