Sky has created an application which allows itune users to set Sky+ recordings using their mobile telephone. The application allows iPod Touch and iPhone users access to the Sky EPG and this comes with a "record" option. This sends a request via satellite to the user's Sky+ or Sky+ HD box. Requests need to be made at least 30 minutes before the programme is due to start.

A Sky spokesperson said "Whether you're stuck at work, in the pub or gym, or have simply forgotten to record something, this free application is perfect for those situations when you hear about a TV show and want to record it there and then."
