Business channel CNBC is to launch on Freesat.

The channel will launch on that platform next Tuesday, 23rd February, in EPG slot 210.

The launch on Freesat comes a month after CNBC went free-to-air on Sky Digital.

CNBC EMEA president and chief executive Mick Buckley said: "Business and financial news remains very pertinent in today's economy and this change gives consumers the opportunity to watch the best analysis of what's happening in the financial markets in the UK and across Europe. Last year CNBC significantly grew its upscale and affluent audience, as more viewers wanted to keep abreast of the dramatic changes in the economic environment. Our most recent EMS viewing figures showed that our daily audience was up 18% and our monthly audience broke seven million viewers. This year we will further grow our distribution across the region, making our content available to a wider audience, firmly cementing our place as the premier source of news, information and analysis for anyone interested in business and finance."
