Cornwall has commenced digital switchover.

The Redruth transmitter, which covers western and central Cornwall, lost its BBC2 analogue signal this morning and was replaced by one of the BBC's multiplexes. The other part of the switchover process will take place on 2 August.

Later that week, 5 August, the Caradon Hill transmitter, which covers eastern Cornwall and west Devon, will begin switchover and when this is completed the entire Westcountry region will have done digital.

The switchover process will then move to Wales, with the north west following in November.
