Digital switchover is beginning in Wales.

People served in the Kilvey Hill transmitter begin digital switchover tonight when they loose BBC2 on analogue. That analogue channel will be replaced with one of the BBC's multiplexes. Kilbey Hill serves Swansea and Neath. Next week will see the same happen in west Wales when the Preseli transmitter begins switchover. A week after that, the Carmel transmitter swtches off analoge BBC2. Digital switchover begins in north Wales in October.

Digital switchover in Wales commences just as west Cornall and Isles of Scilly complete switchover.
