Yesterday the north west of England completed digital switchover and today this happens in east and central Wales.

Today's switchover affects those served by the Long Mountain transmitter and its relays whereas yesterday those served by the Winter Hill transmitter and its relays went through digital switchover.

The switchover at Winter Hill also hrealded the start of high definition testing in the north west ahead of the launch of high definition channels on DTT next spring. HD tests also began at the Crystal Palace transmitter in London.
