Yesterday, UKTV's history channel, will have its full hours restored to Freeview.

The channel has been broadcasting only during the day since 2008 but the full hours of the channel - 6am to 1am - will be restored in 1 June using the space previously occupied by Virgin1 +1.

UKTV's executive director Keith Porritt said: "Our Freeview viewers have regularly told us that they want a full service back. So we're delighted to be able to restore Yesterday as a full channel to the platform and extend access to our new programmes which reflect on such an important period of our recent history."
