Tiscali TV has said that it will be available to half of UK homes by the summer. Tiscali says that this will bring its footprint almost up to that of Virgin Media which has stopped increasing its network. The company has said it will look at ways of getting towards 100% coverage but is has yet to decide if it will offer a digitasl terrestrial hybrid system similar to BT Vision or whether it will continue to kit out local exchanges at vast expense.

Tiscali added that it is adding around 250 new customers each day and aims to have 200,000 subscribers by the end of this year.

Tiscali also announced that its remaining former Home Choice subscribers will be offered a Tiscali package this month. Some have already eben transferred but others have not. Spokesman Lee Robson said "[Customers] will get the option to move to an equivalent package. If there is a difference between the packages they will be offered the slightly better one, so no one loses anything."
