Just 65,000 homes are using Tiscali TV as thei main form of receiving digital TV, Ofcom has reported.
Tiscali had targetted 200,000 homes connected up to their IPTV service by the end of 2009 but as of the end of 2008, just one-third of that number were using Tiscali TV as their main way of watching to digital TV. However, this figure does not suggest that Tiscali TV has just 65,000 subscribers. The number is even worse due to Ofcom's Tiscali TV figure dropping by 16.4%, compared to an increase of 9.4% for Top Up TV. BT Vision subscribers are not counted by Ofcom as IPTV users as they receive the Freeview service for linear TV reception.
