The BBC's iPlayer service will tomorrow get its own dedicated Wii channel on nintendo's gaming console.

The iPlayer was previously available through the Wii Internet Channel, but since the updated version of the Internet Channel launched it has been difficult to view.

Since the iPlayer was first available on the Wii in April 2008, there have been over 900,000 TV and radio programmes accessed. This new version of the player is intended to provide a much higher quality viewing experience, complete with full-screen user interface.

It will be available to download in the Wii Shop Channel from tomorrow.
